Shropshire wool is a strong fibre from the English/Welsh borders.

Origin: Shropshire
Wool Type: Soft
Micron Range:24.5-33 microns
Staple Length: 6-10 cm
Main Uses: Greater for spinning, produces yarn soft enough to be worn close to the skin. The wool dyes well but is not the most popular for felting.
Other Facts : Often used in blends with finer wools overseas for cloth and knitwear.

I never knew this existed!! and what wonderful stuff it is. It's so soft and spins like a dream. Just spun up some three ply and it came out absolutely beautifully even though it was quite tightly spun. Lovely colour and not expensive. Please keep stocking this it's a dream!
