Wool Laps
Every year we process tonnes of fibres here at Wingham HQ, developing our own ranges of exciting fibre blends that we're adding to all the time.
Just like the rest of us the machinery can be a little tempremental at times, and occassionaly wool gets stuck on the rollers, lapping around until the auto-cutoffs do their job and everything comes to a halt. We then have to remove the wool "laps", which is where the name comes from. These days the name has expanded to cover any wools that are just in small amounts, so they could have come off the machinery, they may be the last bits of colour left from a blending run or maybe just the last bit of wool left on a shelf!
Essentially Laps are just small amounts of mixed fibres. They'll vary each time, but are a fantastic option if you're after many different shades.
