We're (nearly) Hiring
In February 2024 we will be looking to hire staff for our new Gloucestershire site. As you can imagine, the daily running of the business is going to change a lot in our new location as we adapt it will take a little time to decide how many staff will be needed and what roles will need to be filled.
The main roles we expect to be needed are:
Pickers & Packers
The backbone of Wingham Wool, this is the fantastic team who handle the orders on a daily basis, collecting the items for every order and making sure they're packed safely for shipping. Other duties may include processing deliveries, updating stock levels or ensuring the site is kept clean and tidy.
Office Staff
Predominantly desk based, our office staff take on a lot different roles, including; answering phones, emails, placing purchase orders and overseeing customer accounts.
Both roles have core duties that need to be done, but as a close-knit team we all rely on each other to work well together and ensure that ultimately Wingham Wool give the best possible service to our customers. We also love our staff to be involved in the development of Wingham Wool, such as designing new blends or colour ranges. No experience is needed as all training is giving, however previous knowledge of retail and/or textile crafts may be an advantage in securing a role.
We're currently inviting anyone interested to submit your contact details below so that you're kept up to date. Your details will be kept on file and you will be notified when positions become available. Please be aware that this is not a job application.
While we do ask if you have any experience of retail or textile crafts in the form this is purely to give us an idea of the pool we are recruiting from. You may choose to leave the field blank and it will in no way affect any future application.
