The fine white Royal Alpaca has a micron count of 18, giving a supersoft touch, silky against the skin. It is a good clear white.
A good fibre for dyeing as alpaca does not easily felt.
In softnest and handle it compares well with the finest cashmere and is well worth spinning into a fine yarn. It is a much overlooked quality of fibre.
