Merino is perhaps the most well known of wools, ideal for a wide range of fibre-crafts including handspinning, wet felting and needle felting. If you're just starting out then Merino is a great choice to get going with. Not only do we have over 100 shades to choose from, but at 21 microns our wool is soft yet strong!

"What's a micron?"
There are a few different ways of measuring the quality of wool, but these days the most widely used is by measuring the thickness of the individual hairs. These are measured in microns: 1 micron is 1 millionth of a meter. So, the smaller the number, the thinner the fibre, the softer it is.
Our merino measures 21 microns, which we find to be the perfect balance: It's soft and gentle against the skin yet also strong enough to cope with everyday handling.

All our merino is sourced from non-mulesed flocks.
Dyed in the UK to Okei-Tex 100 standard.

Forest is a wonderful dark green you can almost smell the pine trees when using it , well that maybe a bit poetic , but it is a beautiful Colour and excellent quality .
