Important Announcement: Changes to Shipping for EU Countries and Northern Ireland

We regret to inform our customers that starting from 9th December 2024, Wingham Wool Work will no longer be able to ship orders to EU countries or Northern Ireland. This decision has been made due to the introduction of new requirements under the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).

Why This Change is Necessary

The GPSR aims to ensure that all products sold within the European Union and Northern Ireland meet strict safety standards. While Wingham Wool is fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in all our products, the additional compliance measures introduced by the GPSR present significant challenges.
These new regulations require extensive product safety documentation, testing, and certifications that are specific to each product. For many of the craft and wool-related items we sell, these requirements are not necessary and would require significant time, financial investment, and operational changes to comply. There would also be financial implications which would inevitably lead to price increases for all our customers, regardless of location.

Despite our best efforts to find solutions, the resources required to meet the new GPSR obligations for shipping to EU and Northern Ireland customers are simply not feasible for us at this time.

What This Means for Our Customers

Final Order Date: The last date to place orders for delivery to EU countries or Northern Ireland is 9th December 2024. After this date, orders destined for these regions will no longer be accepted on our website.

Any orders placed before the cut-off date will be processed and shipped as usual.

We deeply regret the inconvenience this change may cause to our customers in these regions. We are actively exploring alternative ways to bring our products to you, if you are based in the EU or Northern Ireland and have questions about your orders or the new policy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
