Dyed Merino

Over recent years merino has become one of the most well known wools around, it's qualities making it a great all-rounder fibre for home crafting. It's soft yet strong, easy to work with and best of all we stock 125 shades, all dyed to our colour range. 

Micron Count
It's worth noting that not all merinos are created equal, with the most obvious variation being in the micron count. This is a measurement of the average diameter of the individual wool fibres, so the smaller the number the "softer" the wool will be. Over the past 40 years we've tried various different micron counts for our merino, and we're happy that 21 microns gives the best balance, a wool that's gentle to the touch and yet strong enough to stand up to the rough and tumble of everyday life.
