British Wool Blend: "Skua" M.SKUA

Designed by the wonderful fibre artist Marina Skua, this blend has been put together to showcase some of the fantastic British wools that you can find at Wingham Wool.

"I’m going for a rustic but soft mid warm grey with lots of heathering, and a nice combination of length and loftiness. I’ve basically chosen the ones that I had the most fun spinning, that gave finished yarn I really liked and combined a nice range of colours and qualities."

Once the wools were chosen they were passed on to our Mill Team and processed to create this absolutely stunning blend. Suitable for wet and needle felting, though we think this blend really excels when hand-spun: The subtle shades of the various wool breeds combine to create a wonderful yarn once plied, and super easy to work with whether you're just starting out or are an old hand with the wheel.
