The Wingham Wide Drum Carder is designed for fibre artists who want to prepare larger quantities of fibre quickly and efficiently. Handmade in the UK, it combines the proven performance of our standard drum carder with a wider working area, allowing you to produce larger batts in fewer passes.

Fitted with our standard 72 Points Per Inch (PPI) card cloth, it is ideal for preparing combed tops, washed fleece and fine fibres for spinning and felting. The generous drum width makes it particularly well suited to blending larger colour batches, producing batts for art yarns and preparing fibre for bigger felting projects.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the adjustable drum clearance lets you optimise the carding action for different fibres, while the packer brush helps transfer more fibre onto the main drum. Smooth nylon bearings ensure effortless operation, and non-slip rubber feet provide excellent stability throughout use.
