Our Carded Wool Batts are made here at Wingham Wool in our Gloucestershire mill, using our traditional carding engine that has been processing wool for over 100 years.
Making the batts ourselves gives us excellent control over the finished fibre. We can card both small and large quantities, carefully adjusting the process to suit the fibre and the blend.
All of the fibres used in our batts come from our established Wingham Wool range, so you can expect the same quality materials you’ll find throughout our tops, fibres and natural wool collections.
Carded into soft, lofty sheets, these batts are ideal for hand spinning, felting and other fibre crafts. The open preparation makes them particularly enjoyable for spinners who prefer a woollen-style preparation, while also making it easy to pull off just the amount of fibre you need.
