Wingham Hand Combs

The Wingham Hand Combs are a lightweight version of the larger Wool Combs, designed for flexible, freehand fibre preparation. Unlike combs that must be clamped into a base unit, these can be used in the style of a pair of hand carders, giving you full control over the combing process.

Styled on the traditional designed by Peter Teal, they are particularly suited to processing longer wools and fibres. Despite their smaller size, the combs use the same high-quality precision-ground double-angle point tines as the full-size combs, ensuring smooth, efficient fibre entry and alignment.

The handles and tines are set at an optimum working angle, minimising effort with every swing. The compact size makes them easy to handle, while the chunky handles provide a secure, comfortable grip for complete control and peace of mind.

Care:
After use, ensure the combs are completely dry. If storing for a longer period, lightly spray with WD-40 or a similar product, holding the combs with tines pointing down to allow excess to run off. Store in a dry place — avoid damp or unheated locations such as garden sheds.
