White Yak

Our White Yak is an exceptionally soft, fine natural fibre produced from the carefully combed undercoat of the yak. This insulating down protects yaks from the extreme cold of the Himalayas and has a beautifully soft handle with many of the qualities associated with cashmere.

Yak is wonderful to spin on its own or to use as a luxury blending fibre. It offers a similar feel and handling characteristics to cashmere while providing a more affordable way to add exceptional softness and warmth to your projects.

The natural white colour also makes this particularly versatile, giving you a light, neutral fibre that can be enjoyed as it is or incorporated into a wide variety of blends.
