Mordant - Aluminium Acetate

Aluminium Acetate is a professional-grade mordant developed specifically for use on cellulose fibres such as cotton, linen and hemp. It helps natural dyes bond effectively to the fibre, producing clear, vibrant colours with excellent consistency. Compared to traditional alum, aluminium acetate is particularly well suited to plant fibres, offering improved colour yield and sharper, more luminous results. It allows dyes to penetrate evenly, reducing patchiness and helping achieve a smooth, uniform finish while maintaining the natural softness of the fabric.

This fine powder dissolves quickly in water, making it easy to use in both small-scale and larger dyeing setups. Once properly mordanted and dyed, colours remain bright and washfast, even with repeated use and washing.
