Liz H. I enjoy experimenting in my wet felting projects and have found this tool so useful as I full, whether making bowls, hats, pictures or rugs. I use it for the later stages (as you'd expect with fulling) and usually have a plastic sheet or bubble wrap between the wool and the tool to ease friction. It's been particularly useful for the edges and brims of hats.
