Polwarth is a luxurious longwool breed originally developed in 1880 by crossing Merino and Lincoln sheep in Australia, combining Merino’s softness with Lincoln’s strength . At around 23 microns and a staple length of approximately 110 mm, it offers a plush, resilient fibre with a lovely loft.

This natural white Polwarth is hand-selected, washed, carded, and combed to ensure consistent, high-quality fibre, a superb choice for a wide range of fibre crafts.

Lovely fibre

I haven't had a chance to spin Polwarth yet and I'm looking to doing so. It feels very soft and luxurious. I'm planning on dyeing it again I've not done before either. Once again a speedy service from Wingham. Thank you.

Lovely clean soft fibre v.good

I love Polwarth! Lovely clean soft fibre from Wingham- posted quickly and packaged well by Tom (I love the little packing notes that says who sorted my order!) I love Winghams service they are always quick and helpful too. I�m making a jumper from this fibre (hopefully)
