My grandson loves wool which has a bit of itcyness to it and this is perfect it is nice and soft and lovely to spin. I am spinning it quite thick as my friend is crocheting a blanket for my grandson with it due to my friend being blind she prefers a thicker wool to work with.
A lovely white colour and a good spin to this fibre. Would definitely use this again. The delivery was good too.
I am new to spinning and wanted something with a reasonably moderate length staple for hand carding. Im not in a position to compare the staple with other breeds, but so far it has worked well and been very pleasing. Excellent take up too of natural tannin dyes - oak and walnut shell. Delivery was fast. Will continue to experiment with other breeds via Wingham.
Cheviot is my go to fleece. It's just superb. Soft and strong and so easy to spin. A great roving for beginners. One of the cheapest wools too. I love it above all other breeds!
