Blends
Our blends are produced to a very high quality as we have machinery that is gentle on the fibres. We have two nice old Yorkshire built blending machines both are around 50 years old. Designed to run at slower speeds than the more modern machines these older machines carefully and steadily comb the fibres together. The combs have fine set teeth to ensure a good distribution of the fibres, we have seen blends made by others with the fibres in thick unblended streaks, our system avoids this. We also have the advantage in that we use the fibres we blend for feltmaking and spinning so we know the exact requirements.
